El Museo Nacional de Finlandia se encuentra en pleno centro de Helsinki, en la calle Principal Mannerheimtie, llama la atención por su bonito edificio, que la verdad es que al principio pensé que era una iglesia o algún edificio importante de la ciudad. En este museo se pretende hacer un recorrido por la historia de Finlandia desde la prehistoria hasta la actualidad. La exposición permanente del museo nacional se divide en seis partes. El tesoro Troves presenta las colecciones de monedas, medallas, órdenes y decoraciones, plata, joyería y armas. La prehistoria de Finlandia es la exposición arqueológica permanente más grande en Finlandia. Los presentes del reino del desarrollo de finlandés sociedad y cultura de la edad media, del siglo XII al siglo XX, desde el periodo en que Finlandia pertenecía a Suecia hasta cuando perteneció a Rusia. Se puede ver en mapas la evolución del territorio de Finlandia. Se pueden encontrar cuadros importantes como "El ataque" de Edvard Isto pintado en 1899 muy simbólico de Finlandia cuando el águila imperial arrebata el libro de la ley a la Doncella de Finlandia. El museo está abierto los martes de 11 de la mañana a 8 de la tarde, de Miércoles a Domingo de 11 de la mañana a 6 de la tarde y los lunes está cerrado. El precio de la entrada va desde 7 euros de tarifa a normal a 5 euros si eres estudiante etc.
