Opened in 1862 is the ideal place to learn about civilizations (Greek, Roman and Egyptian) and to view a large collection of religious art, icons, altarpieces, Canaletto paintings and painters of the Flemish school. It also has temporary exhibitions, such as a show of Estonian modernist paintings. Admission to the permanent collection costs 12 PLN (3 €) and including temporary exhibitions 17 PLN (4-5 €), it's closed Mondays but on Tuesdays you can get in free to see the permanent collection.
