National Aquarium

This public aquarium, located in the Port of Baltimore, opened in 1981, and has 10,500 specimens of 560 different species. It consists of three buildings connected by bridges, and covers several areas - a dolphinarium, an Australian natural habitat, the local fish of Maryland, and the rainforest. It is the most popular tourist attraction in Maryland, with 1.6 million visitors.
