1 review of Nam Ho Falls

Man Ho Falls

The visit to the waterfall of Nam Ho was part of the trekking, but also you can visit without trekking and it takes about 4 hours to get from the road. This waterfall is 4 hours drive from Pukha Vieng and 2 hours walk from the village of Nam Tha Akha closest to the road. If you want to visit this waterfall from Vieng Pukha, you have to take a pick up to take you to where the trail starts. The path to the waterfall is simple. It is a dirt road, but rain is not bad because it is used by the Akha village. This path leads us to a mountain of Nam Tha from where you can admire lovely landscapes. Also, by the way there are booths that are used to hold rice and more so that makes the landscape even more lovely.

After walking an hour and a quarter you have to go into the forest. As you can imagine, there is no simple signage and it is easy to get lost in these areas, so it's best to make these visits with a guide because they know the forest. As we entered the forest the road gets complicated but not too difficult. The biggest problem we have was slips, as there are parts that are moist and rocky, so be careful. Another complication may happen in the river to be crossed as there is a bridge as God intended and it is common to have to improvise a new one with any of the logs that are in the banks. After about two hours of walking they finally reach the beautiful waterfall of Nam Ho, which is completely surrounded by steep vegetation. It's like tha nam jungle mantenarla want hidden. The beauty is indescribable, the waterfall has a beautiful crystal clear water that continues to make shapes and hitting jumps. Also, the sound is deafening but wonderful, makes you completely forget the world around you. When you see it, you feel a real privileged to be contemplating a wonder of nature that is so far removed from your everyday life.
