Musical Mural

Walking through downtown Minneapolis the "Musical Mural" is a hard one to miss. Painted on a 5-story building the musical score is actually part of a musical piece by French Composer Maurice Ravel called “Gaspard de la Nuit.”

Painted on the building in the 1970s, when it was owned by Schmitt Music and they were housed in the building this "street art" has staying power. It has since become an icon that most in the Twin Cities metro area would instantly recognize and which has been photographed time and time again.
