Museum of the Ancient Book

2 reviews of Museum of the Ancient Book

From the Colonial Era

Next to Palacio del Ayuntamiento, in Central Park, we found the small but interesting Museum of Old Liro. After paying a modest entrance fee we could see printed and bound copies of books from the colonial era, including a replica of the first printing press in Guatemala, which was cerca 1660. A pretty, scarcely traveled place, but very interesting, especially if you're a book lover. As I am, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The museum's staff (like almost all Guatemalans) were very nice and polite.
