The Natural History Museum is located in Mdina Palazzo Vilhena, to the right of the citadel's main entrance. This mansion, built by Vilhena and Mondion in 1726, was the residence of the Grand Masters of the Order of Malta. This museum has many varieties of plants and animals on display. For example, 3,500 bird species with their nests and eggs, 200 mammals, 200 fish and thousands of arthropods from Malta and around the world. There is also a varied collection of fossils. The exhibition has many themes, such as evolution, insects, birds and marine ecosystem. The museum's address is Vilhena Palace, St Publius Square, Mdina RBT 12, Malta.
