Museum of Ham

Un interesante centro de interpretación de obligada visita para comprender las características y particularidades que hacen que el jamón ibérico de bellota de la Sierra de Aracena tenga una denominación de origen única en el mundo, y sea un producto de gran calidad. El museo se encuentra en la planta superior del edificio. En la inferior hay una exposición micológica y una tienda de productos ibéricos. Hay visitas guiadas a las 11:00, 13:15, 16:00 y 18:00 horas. El precio general de entrada es de 3,50€ e incluye una degustación de jamón de Jabugo al finalizar la visita al museo.

Este es el museo que más me ha gustado de cuantos he visitado, lo único que faltaba era poder probar tan ricas patas de jamón. Es un museo muy curioso, te explican muy bien como es la técnica de curar la pata de cerdo y como se convierte luego en esas lonchas tan ricas,tenian llaveros muy simpaticos y una tienda llena de cosillas para traer a modo de recuerdo. Ya no recuerdo el precio de la entrada, ahora que no incluia degustación jejejejejeje !una pena!, solo ver y no catar.

Puede que para aquellos que no son amigos de comer animales esta visita no sea muy interesante. Para el resto, visitar el Museo del Jamón de Aracena les descubrirá el mundo de las dehesas, de la crianza de los cerdos, del valor del alcornoque, y por supuesto, de la matanza y aprovechamiento de la carne del cerdo. Queda claro en la visita, que del cerdo, hasta los andares. Se ofrecen visitas guiadas que son muy interesantes.

Es interesante parar en el museo y hacerle una visita porque aprendes cosas sobre el jamón para que no te den gato por liebre, además cuando acabo la charla, nos pusieron jamón ibérico y embutido para comer.

Situado en pleno centro de Aracena. Un fantástico recorrido por el mundo del jamón ibérico y demás productos del cerdo ibérico. Te enseñan todo el proceso de manufactura desde que nace el cerdo hasta que muere. Las visitas guiadas perfectas, ya que el trato recibido por el personal fue excelente. Al final de la visita nos dieron una degustación de jamón ibérico (riquísimo) y pudimos comprar en la tienda todo tipo de productos ibéricos y productos varios de la Sierra de Aracena, como quesos y miel. Os recomiendo que lo visitéis, no os decepcionará.

Cuando se sale del Museo del Jamón, la tapa es gratuita, está incluida en la entrada. Después, cuando se sale del museo, hay restaurantes del pueblo que dan a degustar una tapa de jamón por 1 € enseñando la entrada del museo. Además, en la tienda venden productos gourmet muy buenos y el jamón ibérico de bellota es excelente y a un buen precio. Una visita que se disfruta y que no podemos dejar pasar por alto si vamos a Aracena. ¡Animaos!

Después de la visita que la puedes hacer guiada o por libre, si no te vienen bien los horarios establecidos, terminamos con una estupenda degustación de jamón ibérico de bellota que la tenemos incluida en nuestra entrada, Os animo a visitarlo igual que la Gruta de las Maravillas y toda Aracena

Está muy bien porque te entra en el bono turístico y el mayor aliciente es que te ofrecen (o por lo menos a mí) una "tapa" de jamón. En 20 minutos has visto todo el museo. He estado en varios lugares parecidos y la única pega que le pongo es que todo tenía muchas letras. Mucho que leer y todo muy repetitivo.

Decepcionante. Poco didáctico, aburrido y mejor no esperar a la visita guiada en la que se saltan las salas y las explicaciones de poca calidad no aportan nada a la visita. No recomendable.
