The National Museum of American Illustration (NMAI), was founded in 1998 by Judy Goffman Cutler and Laurence S. Cutler, to house his art collection mainly from "America's Golden Age of Enlightenment", but has exhibitors from all periods, styles and types. Headquarters Museum is Vernon Court (1898), a "Golden Age" French castle and mansion, designed by Carrere & Hastings, architects of many notable historic buildings.
