The mineralogical museum is in Ercolano Campania in Campania, Italy. The museum has received the Professor John Forbes Nash award, who inspired the movie "A Beautiful Mind", and who won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1994, and Professor Riccardo Giacconi, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2002. In March 2001, they opened a section of precious "gems" that features more than 500 samples of faceted stones from various designers such as, Don Ezio De Felice and Eirene Sbriziolo.
