Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir, and Matisse
As a lover of history and art, I couldn't resist visiting one of the most famous museums in the United States, located in Baltimore, Maryland. This museum was designed in the late nineteenth century by the neo-classical architect John R. Pope; however it wasn't inaugurated until the year 1914. The art is distinctly European, from a collection that belonged to the Cone sisters, a well-heeled local pair who were responsible for looting a bit of the old continent to bring to Baltimore. So you can find works by masters like Picasso, Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir, Matisse, Manet and more. In addition there are some local American works by artists such as Andy Warhol.
