Museo D'Arte Sacra S. Marco

This convent was founded in the 13th century and was expanded in 1437 by Michelozzo the architect. When the Dominican monks from the nearby town of Fiesole moved there, invited by Cosimo the Elder who financed the reconstruction of the convent with a ton of money. This building was consecrated in 1443 and has hosted people like S. Pierozzi Antoninus, Bishop of Florence, Fra Angelico and later Girolamo Savonarola.
