Murals by Charles Chaplin

Excellent

Entering Vevey by its northern part, by the neighborhood of Gilamont, we find, surprisingly, these two impressive buildings. We loved them so much, that we turned around at the next roundabout and we left the road to look at them closely. They depicted various scenes from the most famous films of Sir Charles Chaplin, who spent his last 26 years living here, until his death on Christmas Day 1977. The first stroke was painted in May 2010 and it took several months to paint each one of the 14-story buildings, one in white and one in black. For the frescoes they used up to 1,000 kilograms of paint, 50 brushes and 100 rollers.

You can see scenes from "Modern Times" and the famous "Dance of the Muffin" in the "Gold Chimera". It may not be a tourist attraction for which you would visit the city exclusively, but it is very curious indeed, to come across these buildings while you're on the road, which is also quite high up, and which provides a good overview of the murals.
