Municipal Market

The retail market in Velez Malaga, is in a nice place in the city, near the monuments, and on the same street you can also find some lovely mansions, some of them in bad condition, but still you can see its architecture, an example of civil architecture of the city of the 16th and 17th centuries. The visits to the markets of the cities, are interesting and we can see what products are the most exposed, and often coincides with the typical dishes of the region as well as the production of their gardens. One kiosk that caught my attention was that of "bones salted" strips of salted ribs, marrow bones and "stale ass", all from the pig, and used in Andalusia to "whitewash" and to flavor one of their star dishes ....
