Este lavadero del S.XIX es uno de los más grandes de todos los que se conservan en la provincia de Alicante. Hoy en día todavía se usa aprovechando el agua del Azud que aquí aprovecha las aguas de uno de los afluentes del río Agres. Es tan agradable por dentro como espectacular por fuera. Desde la parte de abajo del lavadero se puede ver perfectamente el salto del agua y los canales de desagüe que caen en el río. El sitio es ruidoso, pero de esa clase de sonido que relaja; se han colocado mesas y sillas para que se pueda disfrutar de este escondido rincón. Una auténtica delicia de escondite, donde saqué mi "tapperware" de tortilla de patatas, me trinché un tomate y me tomé un merecido descanso; Agres está en una cuesta pronunciada con lo que, cuando terminas de visitarlo, estás un poco cansado...
