Muang Mai Market
In Chiang Mai there are many markets, each one interesting. They are great because it is a great opportunity to get a good ideal of the Thai life that revolves around them, as well as the commercial center. The markets are truly the essence of the city! The food markets there give you a great idea of the food of Merca-Chiang Mai's Muang Mai. The environment is very colorful and authentic. It is nice to go for a stroll down the two or three lanes, and it is especially cool at night when you will see the main street full of stalls selling fruit, vegetables and spices a colorful even more spectacular than during the day.
Since these positions are at night to supply to restaurants in the food the next day or week and therefore are big and beautiful. The market starts near the American Consulate. If we consider the river from the walled city viueniendo down the street to get to Thapae Nawarat Bridge turn left and walk about 500 meters from the street that runs parallel to the river. When you reach a small square with white chedi go straight and you topareis with leading market positions. Then in the streets that enter the left is the bulk of it. That walk from Nawarat Bridge is very nice because it goes through the Flower Market (Ton Lamyai) Warorot the market and finally reaches of Muang Mai.
