unaltered culture
We are in northern Georgia. The photo is taken during the ascent from the village to the town of Mestia Ushguli. It's recognized as the village at the highest altitude that's inhabited in Europe. And no wonder ... To go to Mestia is difficult to access by public transport and it has to be at a specific hour. But going to Ushguli is almost impossible; it involves hiring semi-private 4x4's or a several day hiking trip up the high mountain. For some this is the only region of Georgia that has not been conquered in history. To explain a bit the picture wasn't taken at random. As we were walking, a dozen indigenous bulls surrounded us and picture was stunning.
They weren't violent at any time, so we encourage you to take them some pictures with a unique background. The sensation of being surrounded by nature, solitude, but at the same time by centuries of unaltered culture is unique. An experience that I recommend to anyone, despite the difficulties that may involve getting there.
