Moulin Rouge

The Moulin Rouge is a legendary Paris cabaret immortalized in paintings and countless old movies. It was built in 1889 by Josep Oller, who was also the owner of Paris Olympia.

The Moulin Rouge is an iconic symbol of Paris' Red Light District and home to the famous dance the Can-Can.

Since its founding over a century ago, it has become a destination for tourists looking to attend an evening show. If you're walking around the area, it's worth visiting up close to get some great photos.

I know it’s kind of playing into stereotypes, but I couldn’t resist going to the Moulin Rouge when I was in Paris. The place is legendary. It’s the type of place that you go to see, but never really plan on actually entering. But it’s impossible. I had to go in. It’s pricey, but hey, if you’re on vacation, why not live a little bit? I’d never been to a cabaret before but the show was great and it really takes you back in time. You get a bottle of champagne included with the ticket which helps get you into the spirit of the thing. You can’t miss it this quintessentially-Parisian experience. Metro
