Moulay Idriss Zerhoun is a city in Morocco. It is situated 25 km away from Meknes, in the region of Meknès Tafilalet. This city is where the shrine of the founder of the dynasty Idrissid, Idris I, is housed. The name informs us about the holy city which is important to Muslims, but there is still no pressure on religious tourism because of this. Access to the sanctuary is forbidden to non-Muslims. The weather is very nice in the heat of the south. It is very pleasant to stroll through the narrow cobblestone streets or go for a walk in the surrounding hills.
