Mother Church of Paredes de Coura

This beautiful Catholic church is on top a hill surrounded by a stone wall and landscaped gardens. It is near the historic center of Paredes de Coura, in northern Portugal. To access the church, you must climb several sets of stone stairs, covered by cypress trees and various plants, suitable decor. Once atop the highlights are the facade of the white temple above the door, a large rose window and a tower that serves as the bell tower and the clock, also all white.
