Morelos Port

Just 35 kilometers away from Cancun is where you'll find the small fishing village called Morelos Port. It's a place where you can take a rest from the tourist hustle and bustle of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. This small town was established in 1898, mostly because of the need to create a port where things could be exported from the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. Nowadays it's really popular because of the area's proximity to the second largest barrier reef in the world. The Port is just 500 meters away from the beaches in Puerto Morelos, which makes it a perfect place to practice snorkeling or diving.
