Morelos Equestrian Statue

Presiding over Morelos Square, the largest public square in the Morelian historic district, is the equestrian monument to Morelos, cast in bronze. It is situated on a thick quartz pedestal decorated with allegorical sculptures that represent their country and freedom, and a pair of reliefs that depict the Battle of Cuautia and the promulgation of the Constitution of Apatzingan.
