Complex of Hue Monuments

La Ciudadela (o Citadel) de Hué es quizás el monumento histórico más grande e importante de Vietnam. Es un recinto amurallado en cuyo interior se encuentra la Ciudad Imperial desde donde gobernaron los emperadores de la Dinastía Nguyen entre los años 1802 y 1945. El recinto tiene un perímetro de 10 km y está rodeado por un foso en zig zag de 30 m de anchura. Se puede acceder a la ciudadela a través de las 10 puertas fortificadas que cruzan el foso sobre un puente. La Ciudadela contiene la Ciudad Imperial, un segundo recinto construido a imagen del Palacio Imperial de Pekín. A su vez, la Ciudad Imperial contenía un tercer recinto amurallado, la Ciudad Púrpura Prohibida, a la que sólo tenía acceso el emperador, sus esposas y sus concubinas. Actualmente se encuentra en estado de restauración ya que fue completamente destruida durante la Guerra de Vietnam. A pesar de estar inspirada en la Ciudad Prohibida de Pekín, las diferencias son notables, sobre todo en la arquitectura y la decoración. En mi opinión, la Ciudad Imperial de Hué no tiene nada que envidiar a la Ciudad Imperial de Pekín. No tiene esas dimensiones tan impresionantes ni esos enormes patios abiertos y por ello es más fácil de recorrer. Aparte, la combinación de colores amarillos y rojos en las puertas y pabellones junto con los jardines la hace más alegre y menos monótona y uniforme que la de Pekín. Située sur la rive Nord de la très célèbre rivière des parfums, la citadelle est l'un des principaux centres d'intérêt de la ville de Hué. Plutôt récente, la citadelle a vu le jour au début du XIXème siècle et se dresse, majestueuse, encerclée de fortifications et de douves, sur environ 10 kilomètres carrés. Plusieurs palais sont particulièrement remarquables à l'intérieur de cette ville forte, notamment le palais de l'Harmonie suprême, qui abrite aujourd'hui le tombeau de l'empereur. Il ne faut pas manquer non plus les quatre principales portes d'accès au site, richement décorées de mille couleurs. Se balader dans la citadelle et naviguer entre ces bâtiments tous plus beaux et plus riches les uns que les autres constitue un moment fort agréable.

Hué était la ville des Empereurs, c'est pourquoi on y retrouve cette cité impériale, très inspirée de l'architecture chinoise, qui date du début du XIXe. Elle est entourée d'un mur d'enceinte et de douves, on y entre par une passerelle, et ça y est, nous voilà dans un havre de paix. Véritable ville dans la ville, on y remarque trois enceintes (la ville impériale, la ville royale, et la Cité Pourpre interdite). Un des monuments les plus importants du Vietnam s'il en est, mais aussi une enclave dans la ville, où l'affluence touristique reste limitée (4$ l'entrée), abondante en jardin, en coins et recoins.

Notre visite de la citadelle de Hue n'était que moyennement marrante puisqu'il pleuvait des cordes. En certains points, de véritables piscines s'y étaient formées! Si je la refaisais, 1) j'attendrais un peu de soleil(!) et 2)je prendrais un guide. L'endroit est rempli d'Histoire et d'histoires qu'il serait bon d'entendre de la bouche d'un spécialiste. Hué est en effet l'ancienne capitale impériale du Vietnam. L'endroit a beaucoup souffert de la guerre mais des travaux de rénovations sont en cours pour redonner à l'endroit toute sa splendeur.

Le clou du spectacle à Hué, c'est la citadelle. Elle ferme relativement tôt attention, à 17h, on s'est fait avoir le premier jour. Prenez le temps de la faire à fond, il faut je pense au moins 2h. Pensez à demander un guide dès l'entrée, avant même de prendre vos billets, et pensez que tous les guides partent manger tôt. En arrivant à 13h, plus personne pour nous faire la visite guidée, on l'a faite tout seuls. C'est un très bel ensemble mais ce que j'ai préféré a été de m'éloigner des grandes salles et là c'est une ambiance particulière. D'anciennes portes qui semblent perdues au milieu d'une végétation qui reprend ses droits. Magnifique.
