Monument to the Memory of the Great War

Questo gigantesco ordigno inesploso è stato tramutato in statua commemorativa. Situata nel centro di Rovereto e più precisamente in Piazza Suffragio, il monumento alla memoria della devastazione della Grande Guerra colpisce chiunque passi di qui. Sulla lapide disposta appena sotto la bomba le incisioni elencano le vittime, il numero di case distrutte e di edifici ridotti a macerie e molti altri dettagli raccapriccianti della I guerra mondiale, quella del 15-18. E' sempre commovente capitare in questi luoghi dove la tranquillità e la linearità delle costruzioni è interrotta da qualcosa che permetta di ricordare, a chi non l'ha vissuto, l'orrore della guerra, con la speranza che gli stessi errori non vengano più commessi...

This gigantic unexploded ordnance has been turned into a memorial statue.
