The best coffee shop in Chamberi
Monkee Koffee is a relatively new coffee shop just steps from the Rios Rosas Metro stop in the heart of Madrid’s traditional Chamberi neighborhood. Those of us who live in the area of been dying for a cool cafe to get a well-made cup of coffee, maybe work a bit with the wi-fi, and generally hang out, and thankfully Monkee Koffee appeared to answer our prayers!
I first noticed Monkee Koffee as it’s one of the few coffee shops in Madrid that serves cold brew coffee in the summertime, a must if you plan on staying caffeinated during the sweltering Spanish summer. Beyond that though, they also offer a range of espressos, filter brews, Americanos, cappuccinos and, of course, classic Spanish cafe con leche. They have a house Arabica blend they use for normal orders, but for a small surcharge you can also try more exotic specialty coffees coming from places like Kenya or El Salvador.
