Moni Profiti Ilias (Hydra)

A monastery on the island of Hydra still inhabited by monks. This is one of the most spiritual places I've ever been, as it is totally far away from civilization. On the one hand, being on a tiny island in the Saronic Gulf it is already away from the bustle of the cities, but it is located more than two kilometers from the town of Hydra, so the calm and tranquility s absolute. The only noise you hear in this place is that of the birds and the wind. The monastery is well maintained and combines the traditional with white stone typical of the island, giving it a modern touch whilst retaining the brightness and purity of the building.
