View from the Monastery

Getting up to the Monastery of Petra can be a grind, but you really need to summon your strength and make the climb. In front of the Monastery there's a path leading to two sights with the odd names of "best view" and "canyon view". Of course, we chose the first! Once you get to the top, the view in unbelievable. On the one side you have the monastery while on the other the canyon. It's breathtaking! On the top, there was a Bedouin tent selling all sorts of trinkets, and it was a pleasure talking to the vendor.
