Mision de Loreto Conchó

Situado en el pequeño centro histórico de la tranquila Loreto, se encuentra una de las misiones más antiguas de Baja California, la Misión de Nuestra Señora de Loreto, una misión fundada por misioneros jesuitas en octubre de 1697. Con la fundación de la misión jesuita también se fundó la ciudad que fue la capital de las Californias entre los años 1697 y 1777. La primera iglesia se terminó el 1703 aunque con el paso de los años el edificio original ha sufrido varias reconstrucciones y modificaciones. No nos pareció ni mucho menos una iglesia espectacular y la verdad es que tampoco es muy grande pero la historia que hay detrás de sus paredes son lo que la convierten en uno de los lugares de visita obligada de la ciudad. La iglesia se encuentra en pleno centro histórico y se puede llegar a su entrada principal desde diferentes zonas, solo tienes que seguir la principal avenida peatonal de Loreto, la avenida Salvatierra. Un edificio que tienes que conocer si vas de visita a Loreto ;)

Located in the small historic center of the quiet Loreto, is one of the oldest missions of Baja California, the Mission of Our Lady of Loreto, a mission founded by Jesuit missionaries in October 1697. With the founding of the Jesuit mission also the city that was the capital of the Californias between the years 1697 and 1777. the first church was founded is 1703 ended but over the years the original building has undergone several reconstructions and modifications. We did not seem far from a spectacular church and the truth is that is not very big but the story behind its walls are what make it one of the must-see places of the city. The church is located in the historic center and can be reached at its main entrance from different areas, just follow the main pedestrian avenue of Loreto, the Salvatierra Avenue. A building that you have to know if you are visiting Loreto)
