Miradouro da Ilha Sabrina

The Lookout Point in Ilha Ponta Ferraria Sabrina is the westernmost point of the island of Sao Miguel. It's less than 2 kilometers away from the town of Dos Ginetes and it's about 6 miles away from Sete Cidades. To get there you'll have to take the main road between Dos Ginetes 1-1, and then drive on the road closest to the coast by the R. Do Mojo. Go past the lighthouse and after about 400 meters you'll find it. A long time ago, Sao Miguel's volcanic eruptions gave off a huge plume of lava that formed the Ilha Sabrina. Erosion caused by high winds took care of negating it. Ponta Ferraria lavas are also produced by intense volcanic activity.
