Unknown and surprising
Located on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, Bealach na Ba is a historic pass between the mountains on the way to the Applecross Peninsula. The road to get to this pass is similar to those found in the Alps. There are many twists and turns and it's so steep that it's impossible to go up by motorhome. At 626 meters, it is England's greatest slope. At the top there is a viewpoint from which you can see the entire island of Skye. No doubt that this viewpoint and Applecross are one of the least known parts of Scotland and yet the some of the most surprising.
