Good accommodation
The Minshuku Rindou-no-ie offers good accommodation close to downtown and the park full of temples. This guesthouse is run by a friendly, kind and hospitable couple. I was offered cold red tea as soon as I arrived one day in hot July. You can relax in the hall and have some tea, listen to classical music, meet other travellers, look at some postcards that many travellers have left behind or just check your email on the free internet. The rooms are clean and detailed to ensure that your stay is pleasant and relaxed. With traditional Japanese rooms, you can take a relaxing Japanese bath that makes you feel as good as new, especially after visiting Nikko.
