1 review of Miguel Grau Viewpoint

A Compulsory Stop

The Grau viewpoint is in the indigenous community of the same name on the left bank of the newborn Amazon. It is an iron tower built 30 meters high with 10 floors. There is a low floor, 3 intermediates and wood floored platforms for observation of the environment. It is a great place to watch the source of the Amazon under its own name, in the shape of Y, which is formed from the union of the Ucayali (left from this viewpoint) and the Marañón (on the right). If you have binoculars, and some luck, you can see the pink dolphins of the Amazon. Also we can see the dense jungle from above, and the houses of the Grau community.

This is a compulsory stop if travelling to the Peruvian Amazon.
