Middle Village

Middle Village is a great residential area in the middle of Queens. This part of New York, just north of Brooklyn, is close enough to Manhattan (takes about 40 minutes by subway), but far enough away to lose that air of 'International City' and breathe a bit of the America that is seen in the films. The streets are quiet with small houses, each with their own manicured gardens and flags proudly displayed at the windows. There's even an ice cream truck that goes through the streets in the evening playing the typical music. Staying in this area is a great place for a unique experience.
