It began in late 1970 when a group of firefighters did what was needed for their open house at the Heswall fire station. A Dennis F12 was given to the Liverpool Museum. After several discussions the device was given to the group on long-term loan and this was the beginning of the Merseyside Fire Brigade Museum.
