Ideally located
During our trip to the so-called Venice of Portugal, we stayed at the Mercure Aveiro hotel, which is quite close to the train station and the centre, where most of the places of interest are concentrated. The traffic is quite a problem, so getting around by car is a bit of an ideal. We left the car in a private car park, but it was pretty expensive. The building is a restored mansion, with luminous patios and gardens where guests can eat breakfast. The room was quite spacious, although dark and somewhat noisy, as it was located next to the elevator. The noise was quite annoying, so we asked if we could change rooms, but as it was August and they were full, it was impossible.
