Altri due luoghi da non perdere con una piccola deviazione da Istiklal Caddesi, il viale moderno del quartiere di Beyoglu, sono il mercato del pesce e il passaggio europeo, che sorgono quasi uno di fronte all'altro. Vi si accede, prendendo la strada di fronte alla cancellata del liceo di Galatasaray e poi è sufficiente lasciarsi condurre dalla folla. Le bancarelle del pesce sono alternate ai ristoranti, quasi a richiamare la freschezza del cibo che si può gustare nei locali, mentre nella galleria (il Passaggio europeo) è esposta ogni genere di mercanzia non alimentare, con prevalenza di stoffe e oggettistica. Su alcune bancarelle il pesce viene anche cotto al momento: immancabili, ad esempio, gli spiedini di cozze. E tra il pesce e lo shopping, rimane soltanto il tempo di dissetarsi con una spremuta di melograno.

It can be reached by taking the road in front of the gate of Galatasaray High School and then simply let themselves be led by the crowd. The fish stalls are alternated to restaurants, to evoke the freshness of the food that can be enjoyed on the premises, while in the gallery (Step European) is exposed to all sorts of non-food merchandise, with a prevalence of fabrics and objects. On some stalls, the fish is also cooked at the time: inevitable, for example, the skewers of mussels. And between the fish and shopping, is only the time to quench their thirst with a juice of pomegranate.
