El Barrio de Habous fue construido por los franceses en época colonial inicialmente para dar aloja a la nueva población de la ciudad y que se tuviera un zoco marroquí pero con un toque algo más ordenado y occidental.
Es por ello que el Zoco de Habous es una de las zonas más comerciales de toda la ciudad de Casablanca. Este lugar cuenta con un gran número de tiendas de todo tipo de variedad pero con mucha mayor tranquilidad para disfrutar de ellas sin ser acosado por vendedores hambrientos.
The Habous neighborhood was built by the French in colonial times initially to give housing the new population of the city and a Moroccan souk had but with a touch more orderly and Western. That is why souk Habous is one of the most commercial areas throughout the city of Casablanca. This place has a large number of shops of all kinds of variety but with much greater peace of mind to enjoy them without being mobbed by hungry sellers.
