Beside the Ochil Hills
Menstrie is one of the main towns in Clackmannan, one of Scotland's most unknown and ignored counties by visitors. This town is the start of the route known as Hillfoot and that joins Dunfermline with Stirling, following the mountain range known as the Ochil Hills. Menstrie is part of the "Route of the World" with the remains of what was once a castle. With just 2,700 inhabitants Menstrie is a village that has its top attractions in the surrounding nature, like the eponymous lush forest.
