Melide

Uno de los atractivos de Melide nos lo encontramos justo a la entrada del pueblo: El puente medieval de Furelos. Los peregrinos acceden a través de la aldea de Furelos y cruzan el río sobre este puente del s. XII que ya aparece en el Códice Calixtino. De hecho, la situación de Melide en pleno Camino de Santiago es la causa de la abundancia de monumentos, especialmente románicos (como la primitiva Iglesia de San Juan, donde muchos peregrinos sellan sus credenciales). ... El otro, desde mi punto de vista, son sus afamados dulces: Melindres, ricos y almendrados que todavía se hacen según las premisas de la pastelería tradicional. La pulpería Ezequiel es un punto de parada obligatoria para la población local y sus visitantes. El local no es precisamente lujoso, pero su “pulpo á feira con cachelos” es toda una institución. La Capilla románica de San Roque se construyó con piedra procedentes de dos iglesias que ya había en el pueblo (la de San Pedro y la de San Roque que se había levantado en el s. XVIII), y así figura en la inscripción que se puede ver “en recuerdo” de las dos demolidas.

Excusión desde Melide Siguiendo la carretera dirección santiago, pasamos el restaurante Sony y la primera salida de la izquierda hacia Santa María de Melide y seguir dirección Ferry, allí podemos pasar a través de dicho ferry (Azulón Primero, que por cierto es gratuíto ytiene unos trabajadores majísimos, pertenece a la misma empresa que el puente colgante de Portugalete, pero éste último es de pago), cruzamos el río Ulla, un gran embalse digno de admirar, al pasar al otro lado siguiendo la carretera hasta llegar a un cruce coger hacia la izquierda y podemos ver el pueblo de Vila de Cruces, desde allí preguntar e ir a ver Febenza da TOXA, impresionante cascada de unos 30metros, se puede bajar el coche casi hasta la misma cascada. A la vuelta si vamos por la carretera de la AGOLADA se puede ver dicho pueblo , k tiene un mercado medieval; o volver por arzúa (carretere de santiago), o por supuesto volver por el ferry.
