Meliá Bilbao hotel

Hace un mes tuve el gusto de alojarme en este famoso hotel de Bilbao. La verdad que ya llevaba una temporada queriendo conocerlo tanto el hotel como la ciudad, y al final encontramos una fecha para poder ir, nos dieron habitación sin problema y para allá nos fuimos. Llegar al hotel es súper fácil, entras a Bilbao y te diriges a la zona de negocios, donde está el famoso guggenheim o el palacio euskalduna frente a la ría de la ciudad, todo viene perfectamente señalado desde cualquier entrada a la ciudad así que no tienes pérdida. El hotel tiene aparcamiento (de pago 10€ día) así que si te acercas en coche tienes donde dejarlo, y si no, por la noche la zona es muy tranquila y siempre hay plazas libres puesto que cierra el centro comercial que hay enfrente y todo se despeja bastante. Este hotel aún siendo de la cadena que es no lleva una línea excesivamente lujosa, al contrario, es bastante informal puesto que está pensado y enfocado a gente de negocios, por tanto todo tiene un enfoque moderno y práctico pero bastante sobrio, si estás acostumbrada a los hoteles de la cadena llama la atención por lo diferente que es, eso si, su decoración y distribución es tan moderna que si te gusta lo clásico y es lo que buscas en un hotel este no es tu lugar. ========================================== PRIMERAS IMPRESIONES TRAS LLEGAR AL HOTEL: ========================================== La primera de todas las impresiones fue entrar con la boca abierta y mirar la grandiosidad de su zona de recepción, con una altura de 7 pisos al aire y 2 ascensores panorámicos que no paraban de subir y bajar yo no daba crédito. Por supuesto el servicio y la atención allí siempre ejemplares (pero bueno algo de enchufillo teníamos jajaja). Cuando fuimos era Navidad, y el hotel estaba precioso, con un árbol de navidad grande, cascadas de luces que caían entre planta y planta, papanoeles y regalos por todas las equinas… estaba precioso, y lo hacía más especial si cabe. Tras darnos nuestra llave mi acompañante y yo subimos a la 5ª planta donde estaba mi habitación y desde allí tras abandonar las maletas en la puerta nos fuimos al ático, donde sabíamos que había una piscina al aire libre, y la sorpresa fue ver que en pleno diciembre estaba abierta y con agua caliente, sobra decir que el siguiente paso fue buscar el bañador en la maleta y subir a chapotear con unas preciosas vistas a la ría con 0 grados en el exterior. Cada rincón del hotel era precioso y sorprendente, su gimnasio también con una cristalera y en la 6ª planta, daban ganas de ponerse a hacer ejercicio, también había 2 saunas, una en el baño femenino y otra en el masculino, con capacidad para 4 personas, así como taquillas, toallas, albornoces etc etc. El restaurante no lo catamos puesto que este tipo de hoteles dejan que otras empresas pongan su restaurante y no nos llamó mucho la atención. Si estuvimos en el bar donde te podías tomar desde cafés, hasta helados pasando por aguas a 50€ la botellita, todo un lujo verdad!!!. =================== NUESTRA HABITACIÓN: =================== Estaba en la 5ª planta y tenía vistas a la ría, la verdad que no era de las más espaciosas pero qué más da, si las vistas eran lo más. Al llegar a mano izquierda estaba el enorme baño en mármol beige, precioso, con super bañera, dos lavabos, bidet, wc y ducha, todo limpísimo y con unos jabones, cremas y demás de buena calidad. Tenía un espejo de aumento así como unjo enorme en todo el frontal de los lavabos, y como no toallas, secador, vasos y teléfono junto a la taza. Frente a la puerta del baño estaba el armario, eso lo que menos me gustó, era pequeño y sin cajones, nos dejaron una tabla y una plancha, así como bolsas para ropa sucia, y allí también estaba la caja fuerte. Luego ya pasabas a lo que es la zona de la cama, con una cama King size, dos mesitas a cada lado, una TV encima del minibar, un escritorio y una mesa de centro con dos butaquitas para pasar el tiempo leyendo mientras observas el paseo de la ría y sus gentes. ==================== SITUACIÓN DEL HOTEL: ==================== Como ya comenté al inicio está super bien situado en pleno centro de negocios y nueva zona cultural de Bilbao pegado a la ría del Nervión y junto al Parque de Doña Casilda (un parque precioso por cierto para dar un paseo al anochecer si vais con niños hay un divertido carrusel para ellos.) El hotel es ideal para ir a conocer el famoso museo Guggenheim que está a 5 minutos caminando lentamente por la ría, saboreando la ciudad, el museo es interesante de ver por el exterior, en cuanto a sus exposiciones supongo que haya alguna que merezca la pena, cuando estuve yo no, así que no entré. También está súper cerca del estadio de San Mamés, así que si tu cita con Bilbao es para ver un partido de fútbol este hotel está estratégicamente situado para ello. Debajo del hotel hay una parada de tranvía si desesas conocer el casco antiguo, que ese si que queda más apartado, pero esta zona está perfectamente comunicada con la zona vieja y hay tanto bus como tranvía, aunque yo recomiendo la opción tranvía por ser más rápida y original. Frente a San Mamés hay parada de metro, así como en Deusto que queda justo en frente cruzando la ría, así que si deseas cogerte el metro para conocer Portugalete, Getxo y demás también lo tienes fácil y cerca, puesto que la línea de metro de Bilbao es sencillísima, además lo recomiendo, es nuevo y está todo impecable. ------------------------------------------------------------- Para rematar mi experiencia personal solo me queda recomendarlo tanto por susituación como por el diseño el hotel así como sus instalaciones, eso sí, no es de los más económicos, pero si de los más singulares.
