Overlooking the sea, the village and the salt pond from its rocky dyke, the Barbarossa Castle Tower Gruissan back to the twelfth century. Possession of the Archbishops of Narbonne and the lord of this castle has been repeatedly besieged and taken especially during the Wars of Religion. It is a beautiful place in a magical setting where you can explore the surroundings to 360 °! Access is free but do not venture there in flip flops because the rock is often slippery! Also when the wind blows hard, it is even advisable to get there!
