Step back in time in Chippewa National Forest
Just north of Grand Rapids, on Trout Lake, Mayen’s Northvue Resort is the place for quiet enjoyment. The place to go for a relaxing vacation on the lake- fishing, swimming or walking in the Chippewa National Forest. Learn the history of the area by walking, or boating, to nearby Joyce Estate or enjoying the history of the resort, which once was a fully functioning logging camp, complete with schoolhouse!
Stay in simple, comfortable log cabins- some of which are original structures from the days of a logging camp. The 8 cabins are usually rented for the week and range in size, the largest will fit 8, the smallest will fit 4. Because this lovely resort began as a fishing resort each cabin rental comes with a boat, although you will need to bring your own motor (or rent one).
