Married Rocks
Married Rocks are two rocks that are considered sacred shores Futami. They are joined by a heavy rope of rice straw, called a shimenawa. According to the belief Shintoist, they represent the union of creator gods Izanagi and Izanami. Therefore the rocks celebrate the union in marriage between man and woman.
