Breathtaking views
Istanbul is on the Bosphorus Strait, which connects the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea that separates the Asian part of Europe. A 7 km canal, called Golden Horn, bisects the European side of the city. To navigate through the Sea of Marmara it's better to hire a yacht, you'll find undiscovered bays, crystal clear waters, great fishing, diving sites and great seafood restaurants that can only be reached by boat. It's an area full of ancient ruins, at night a great atmosphere is created as you can join other sailboats and dine in wonderful coastal restaurants. Dolmabahçe Palace is one of palaces on the Bosphorus, built in the mid nineteenth century by Sultan Abdulmecit its facade extends 600 m along the European shore and it imitates of European palaces.
