Market

The market is behind the parish church in the historic center of Palafrugell. Built in 1895-1901 by Marti Sureda i Vila on a plot that earlier served as cemetery. The current structure has eclectic style and was renovated by architect Martines i Tomas in 1981 but kept its rectangular shape and pillars that subdivide the interior. It operates daily as the meat market and is accessed via a staircase and an iron gate on the main facade (that has molded cornices and the shield of the city). It is a heritage property.
