Navy Museum

El rey Louis, el monarca portugués que mandaba los buques, fue quien comenzó a escribir la historia del Museo de la Marina. En julio de 1863, decretó la creación de una colección de testimonios relacionados con la actividad marítima portuguesa. Este museo nace de la voluntad expresada por el Rey de la sensibilidad artística y cultural, para preservar un pasado histórico, por lo que esta también en la memoria colectiva nacional.
