Marine Drive

Marine drive is the place to be in Mumbai. You get a view of the bay and it's suitable for a good evening walk. There are lot of cafes and pubs around.

Lovely place for a day time walk or cycle- roughly 8 km of pavement. Reasonablly hygienic except in Monsoon. DO NOT ATTEMPT A VISIT IN MONSOON! Waves are high and dangerous. Trash gets tossed overboard so the streets are covered in trash. Otherwise, Marine Drive is a great destination for a couple of hours. Just a warning- it's very hot and sunny. Please do not climb to the rocks below - locals do, but you have been warned. This is illegal and highly unsafe. When going with a family, Don't let your kids wander off, there have been many car accidents and kidnappings- not exactly child friendly.
