Inspired by the Porta Angelica
We were walking from the Amphitheater on Viale Buoncammino, enjoying the beautiful Stampace historic district, when we came upon the Cristina Gate leading to the Piazza del Arsenale. Built in 1825, it was commissioned by Count Don Carlo and was inspired by the Porta Angelica in the Vatican.
