Marble Lodge Bed and Breakfast
Everything is covered in Marble Lodge. Bed and Breakfasts are often reflections of their owners, and this one certainly is with its unique charm. It is located in the village of Angaston, in the Barossa Valley and as such, is very focused on visits to wineries around. The main house is an elegant building of the early twentieth century, while the rooms are in an additional building. It is very well equipped and we must give recognition to the owner, Shirley, who tries to help guests however she can, by proposing routes, making restaurant reservations and even sometimes giving rides. Now, one thing I have not seen anywhere else in the world is the battery of rules and regulations of the B & B.
The rules are written in notes everywhere and some were coming close to ridiculous: For example, you can't kill bugs in the room, because they leave stains on the carpet (you pay) or leave the bed made when you leave because the owner has back problems. The decoration of the rooms and common areas are another story. I'll just say that these old ami dolls are given as respect ;-) I do not think we would return ...
