Austin is one of the top ten cities to live in America, with its university giving a nice cultural touch in addition to the museums. Each year the marathon and half marathon take place, beginning and ending at the Capitol. The route is quite hilly, and it is a well-organized event with onlookers lining the streets to cheer the runners on.
